New Zealand have chosen Auckland lock Victoria Heighway (pictured) to skipper their side in the three-match tour of England which starts this Saturday. Heighway replaces the injured captain Melissa Ruscoe but having played England in the last two World Cup finals, she is relishing the challenge of leading the Black Ferns.

Four sides have expressed an interest in hosting the Women's Rugby World Cup in 2014. Kazakhstan (pictured), New Zealand, Samoa and the USA all submitted a formal interest in hosting event ahead of the deadline at the end of October.

So in a bid to redress the balance we've introduced the 60-second interview, where top players answer our questions in our bid to get to know them just that little bit better. First up it's Canada's Sarah Ulmer who lets slip that she supports England's Cricket team and tells us the household chore that she would run 10 laps to avoid doing.
Kazakhstan have grabbed the last spot at the Women's Rugby World Cup with a comfortable victory over Japan at the Asian Qualifiers in Singapore. The victory means that the Kazakhs take the 12th and final spot at the World Cup being held in London in 2010. In the other playoff game Hong Kong defeated hosts Singapore.
