Saracens and Richmond have opened up a ten point gap on the chasing pack in the English women's rugby Premiership. The two London clubs are clear of Wasps and Lichfield in third and fourth with the league currently a two horse race. See here for the current league table.

USA women’s rugby 7s coach Ric Suggitt has included American soccer star and Olympic gold medalist, Natasha Kai in his squad of 14 players to travel to Dubai in early December. The group will train together this weekend at the Olympic Training Center in California to prepare for the tournament.

The New Zealand women’s rugby team have assembled in Auckland to prepare for their three Test tour to England this month.The reigning World champions play England on 26 and 29 November and 3 December with the first match at Twickenham following the Australia v Barbarians match.Head Coach Grant Hansen said the squad members – eight of them new to the Black Ferns this year – have been training in smaller groups heading into their camp today.

World Cup winner, Rebecca Tavo, has been named captain of the Australian Women’s 7s team for the 2011/12 season.
Saracens stay top of the English women's rugby Premiership after their win over Darlington Mowden Park at the weekend, and now sit with a two point gap ahead of chasing rivals Richmond and eight ahead of third placed Wasps. The latter two sides also won at the weekend - with Richmond hammering Lichfield and scoring 66 points in the process.
