France showed pace and physicality throughout a game in which they totally dominated and were on the score-board after just two minutes. The result is a bitterly disappointing end to Scotland's campaign, when they had been showing real signs of improvement since a hammering at the hands of England on the opening day.
The score crept up with alarming regularity over the next ten minutes as the score had reached 21-0 to France by the twelve minute mark.
Scotland worked hard in attack when they had their chances with Megan Gaffney and Sarah Law prominent but they had no answers to the power of the French side determined to finish their tournament well.
With Aurelie Bailon making her first start of the tournament, France were in complete control of this game where there was a hatrick apeice for Jessy Troumouliere and Julie Billes. Further tries came the way of impressive number 8 Safi N'Duaye, Lucy Godiveau, Gaelle Mignot, Elodie Guiglion and Sandrine Agricole.
