Canada hosted the tournament last year, falling to England in the final match to come second.

“The U20 age group is a pivotal steppingstone for our national identified athletes, which you can see with the number of graduates currently in the senior women’s squad,” said Canadian coach Jack Hanratty. “We have an incredible amount of talent across the country at this age group and we have identified players from USport, Provincial programs, and sevens academies.”

USA head coach Ricardo Ramirez  said: “We've spent the time since camp reviewing a talented player pool. Selections are always a hard activity but we're excited to see this travel squad compete because they are dynamic and bring a lot to the table on and off the field.

“Each player has their own flavour as an individual that only adds to our collective abilities as a team. These players are excited to represent their country and we as a staff cannot wait to see the next generation of Eagles.”

England coach Jo Yapp said: “We’ve had short lead in to this first game but preparations so far have gone well.  We have had a good opportunity to do a collaborative session with USA and Canada which the players and staff both took a lot of learnings from. The players are now very much looking forward to what we know will be a very physical contest on Saturday.“We’re delighted to be hosting the Tri-Nations Cup at home this year after a fantastic event in Canada last summer. With a number of players out due to injury, this tournament gives several younger players an opportunity to step up. It allows players to not only develop on the field but being in camp and having back-to-back games is a fantastic way to prepare players for senior competitions in the future. All the players are looking forward to the challenge."

There are no plans for the RFU to stream any of the games.
