Twins in RFU campaign targeting 16-24s

The RFU have launched a new campaign aimed at attracting 16-24 year olds. "We Call it Rugby" will challenge traditional rugby stereotypes, and is being "fronted" by a series of short documentaries that profile five stories told by a group of young players, telling the stories of how rugby plays a significant role in their lives, including twins India and Georgie Perris-Redding from Crewe who have their eyes firmly fixed on a career in the national women’s squad.

The campaign is aimed to build on the anticipated increase in interest that the men's Rugby World Cup will generate in England, andi is a "key element" of the RFU's legacy strategy, targeting 16-24 year-olds who are completely new to the game, as well as bringing lapsed players back.

The digital campaign will be rolled out throughout the duration of the men's Rugby World Cup and beyond across multiple platforms, including the RFU website,Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This will be the first time the RFU have used social media platforms in such a planed and sustained way.
