Tough prospect for Hong Kong hopefuls

Its a much stronger line up than last years tournament, which was won by Canada, with 7s World Champions Australia and European Champions England both taking part this time around.

The full list of teams entering are Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Tunisia and USA.

Canada go in as favourites by virtue of their flawless 12 months on the 7s circuits and their most recent success in Vegas however the inclusion of teams such as Australia, England and China, who were not at the USA 7s makes this a much tougher prospect.

This is only the second ever IRB-sanctioned women's international rugby sevens tournament outside of the World Cup (the first being in Dubai) as the IRB moves towards a fulltime Womens Sevens World Series in place by 2013, featuring a minimum of 12 core teams and a minimum of four events

The Hong Kong 7s takes place from Friday March 23rd to Saturday March 24th/
