Wales coach Kris de Scossa has reacted to defeat by Italy in the last round by making three starting changes to his team for the weekend's clash against Ireland.
Scrum half Amy Day comes in for Laura Prosser as the only change to the backline while hooker Rhian Bowden replaces Lowri Harries and experienced back row Jamie Kift returns in place of Vicky Owens.
Prosser, Harries and Owens all drop to the bench while Awen Thomas is introduced to the replacements with Yasmin Leung dropping out altogether while there is a welcome return for second row Rachel Taylor who hasnt played for Wales since the World Cup.
de Scossa, said: We have looked at the things which didnt work well against Italy. Training has gone fantastically well. The squad is looking strong and were confident of doing well.We know we head into this match as underdogs as the Irish are a very strong and capable side. Were hoping for another fantastic crowd at Pandy Park and we hope to give them as much entertainment as last time (against England) and a match to remember for a very long time.
Wales face an Irish team in good form with two victories and a narrow loss to France under their belts.
