France will be without players who are competing at the Women’s Sevens World Cup in Moscow also in June, but have still named a strong squad to travel to the USA.
Led by regular skipper Marie Alice Yahe, the squad features faces who impressed in the 6 Nations this year including Safi N’Diaye, Coumba Tombe Diallo and Sandrine Agricole. Overall it a squad with experience - only one player is uncapped, Lille's rising teenage star Yanna Rivoalen, who has been excellent form for the Northerners recently in their bid for the title.
Missing though are talented backs including Caroline Ladagnous and Jade Le Pesq who will be on Sevens duty.
Three matches in a week will also mimic the pressure on the squad that both teams will face next August.
Two of the locations for the test games are yet to be confirmed, but the final game is being played as a double head with the USA men’s side in LA.
