In perfect conditions for running rugby, Catrin Edwardss(pictured)side raced over for six tries while conceding two to record their first win of the campaign.
Two Aimee Young penalties in the 12th and 21st minutes eased Welsh ahead and Scotland lost Beth Dickens to the sin bin in the 24th minute. While she was off Evans scored the first of her tries after good work by front rowers Catrin Edwards and Jenny Davies
Scotland then lost their second player to a yellow card when Louise Dalgliesh was sent off after persistent infringing from the home side.
Scotland were once again made to pay when Evans cantered 25m to the tryline to finish off a great run by hooker Rhian Bowden. The unstoppable Evans then raced over to complete her hat trick on the stroke of half time. Young converted from wide out to give Wales a comfortable 26-0 lead at the break.
Wingers Charlie Murray and Caryl James then got in on the try scoring action with well taken tries before Scotland finally got some reward when replacement Tracey Balmer went over the white wash with Caroline Collie converting.
There was a flurry of action near the end when James was yellow carded. While she was in the bin Scotland second row Lindsay Wheeler scored her sides second try but Wales finished on a high when Kerin Lake, who came on to replace hat trick hero Elen Evans to earn her first cap, scored to put the icing on the cake for Wales.
Scottish coach Karen Findlay said though that she had seen some improvement from her side.
She said:"Our defence was much better in the first twenty minutes and in the closing 20 minutes of the second half, the players were particularly courageous and really dug deep. We suffered through silly penalties and persistent indiscipline, however, and that's got to stop."
