Chile also had to work hard for their title at the beautiful Villa Maria del Triunfo stadium in Lima, Peru, to celebrate the title, defeating Brazil 19-5.
With victories over Venezuela (55-0), Colombia (24-5) and Paraguay (45-5) in the first match, and after defeating Uruguay 17-10 in the semi-final, the Argentines were left facing Brazil, who had only conceded three tries on their way to the final.
It was the Yaguaretes who knew how to better manage the wind and emotions to win a well-deserved title.
Floating in defence in the early exchanges, Argentina got their first try when Cristal Escalante intercepted a pass and headed in under the posts after a minute of play.
Annie Oliveira benefited from the good work of Mariana Nicolau who avoided the first tackle to give the try to the author.
With few differences between both teams, scrum-half Virginia Brígido of the Yaguaretes attacked from the blind side of a scrum in her own half and ran more than 60 metres to score under the posts, facilitating the second conversion by the experienced Sofía González.
The 14-5 with which the Yaguaretés went into the break was quickly reduced with the try by Gabriela de Faira, who scored on the left wing after the Argentines lost their lineout on the right side.
Argentina's third try came from a lineout attack, with Thalía Rodich supporting after an attack with the backs.
Able to hold their defense, the Argentines managed the final exchanges to secure a much-celebrated victory.
By winning the semi-final, Argentina had secured its place, once again, in the World Rugby Challenger Series, seeking a place on the world circuit. And for its youth team, a spot in the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games.
The match for third place put the second South American spot in the Challenger Series at stake and was won by Colombia, 17-12 against Uruguay.
