Linda’s Legends to remember Uttley

A memorial match has been organised for former England player Linda Uttley ) who passed away in November 2009 after her

The former Wasps, Teddington and England international player will be commemorated by a game between the current Teddington team and a selection of Lindas ex-teammates, who are mostly now retired, under the name Lindas Legends.

The match takes place on Saturday September 18th, KO 1.30pm and organisers of Lindas Legends are calling on all ex-team mates of Linda's at Teddington, Wasps and England to get in touch about playing some part in the game.

The game will take place in Bushy Park, the home of Teddington RFC and afterwards the club will throw a party to help celebrate Lindas life. Linda won 13 caps for England in the 1990s and was a hugely popular figure in the game having also worked at the RFU.

Her club career spanned Wasps Rugby Club where she became a hugely important player helping the club to Cup victories and league triumphs, and Teddington RFC where she played a major role in developing a young emerging team.

She was a member of the 1998 England World Cup team.
