Strong Amsterdam Sevens line-up named

Its the strongest looking tournament in Holland in some time with the likes of reigning World Champions Australia up against the likes of current IRB Challenge Cup holders England.

Poo A sees England pitted against USA, South Africa and Wales. Pool B has Canada, Spain, France and newcomers Ireland, with the final pool seeing the hosts take on Australia, Germany and Scotland.

Ireland, Scotland and Wales are all using the tournament to kick start their surge towards an attempt to qualify for next summers Sevens World Cup while six of the competing sides will have played at the IRB London Sevens the week before.

England and Australia will go in as favourites to contest the final based on the recent games in Hong Kong, but a lot too will depend on how the various teams fare the week before in London with little rest time for players involved in both.

The tournament takes place in Amsterdam on May 19th and 20th
